Practice Makes You Perfect:

To become a successful digital marketer you need three things, “Practice, Practice Practice.” Today numerous courses are available for digital marketing. Even the world’s best universities are now offering degree courses in digital marketing. They charged lakhs of rupees for these courses. But honestly saying, I swear all these courses are useless until you don’t try to acquire practical knowledge. Digital marketing is a completely practice-based profession. But If you want to start I would suggest you first go through free courses. Google, Facebook provides their learning sessions for free also provide certifications for their courses. Try to achieve them it be more beneficial for you.

Observation:

Observe the trends on the Internet and make relevant content accordingly. If you have a blog, there is a tool called google trends to check out the trending topics and make relevant content. If you are doing social media marketing, observe the trends and make relevant content that helps your product to get maximum visibility. Analyze brands to know what they are doing to reach your mobile phones. Read more and more popular blogs and try to crack their success mantra. Digital marketing is all about getting attention and nowadays you have to be unique and entertaining to get noticed.

Learn SEO:

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is the heart of Digital Marketing. The actual purpose of digital marketing is to give solutions to users’ search queries. whenever you type on google to find the best restaurants near me what google shows you are the best-optimized sites near you. What do you understand from the best sites is that particular restaurants will have good ratings, better keywords which help to get searched. Therefore, to get started learning as much as possible about SEO. If you are from an IT background then SEO will be best for you.

Get Internship:

I have started my digital marketing career from an unpaid internship. Yes, it is quite hard but my dedication does not let me down. The internship will help you to get some real experience. It will allow you to understand the whole concept and different aspects of Digital marketing. I feel no courses will teach you as per your own experience. Internship or working on real-life projects enables you to enhance your creativity. Just after my MBA, I got an internship in social media marketing, I learned how to create and post on Facebook to attract consumers. I learned to tweet on Twitter for my organization. In short, getting a real job and starting working that's the best way to start your career as a digital marketer.

Keep Updated:

Digital Marketing demands continuous up-gradation in terms of knowledge as well as skills. When I started back in 2015 internet marketing was quite simple. There was less competition at that time hence it was easy to get results. I helped my first organization to raise their sales from 40% in 6 months through Facebook ads only. Today the scenario has changed competition is high. Thus, to be in the market you have to be technically and creatively updated.
